EVIT School Board

RE-ELECT Monty Hogle
 East Valley Institute of Technology
Governing Board

RE-ELECT Monty Hogle to the EVIT School Board

Monty Hogle is running for a second term on the East Valley Institute of Technology Governing Board because he knows personally how career and technical education (CTE) can propel students toward success.

From seventh grade through his senior year of high school, Monty took every shop class that he could. He even operated his own construction business while still in high school.

Today, as owner of Apache Sun Builders, Monty continues to use CTE skills every day. He’s not just a builder, but also a developer who brings an established background in construction and business as another perspective to the EVIT board.

In his second term, Monty plans to focus his attention on expanding EVIT’s campuses to accommodate enrollment growth and ensure that bidding processes are making EVIT as efficient as possible.
His goal is to help EVIT grow while watching very carefully how taxpayers’ dollars are spent.

Monty, who grew up in Mesa, is a Mesa High School Jackrabbit through and through. His Dana family grandparents, his parents, his six children, and he and his wife, Mary Ann Udall Hogle, all graduated from Mesa High. Monty is a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Kimball Stake, Harmony Park Ward in Mesa, and has been active for years in helping the community’s youth.

He has been involved in Boy Scouts since 1983 and has earned numerous awards. He has lead and directed hundreds of youth from Arizona as they traveled to Virginia and participated in the National Scout Jamborees of 1997, 2001, 2005, 2010 and 2015. He also plans to be a staff member for this prestigious event next summer.
Monty also organized and coached within the Superstition Little League for 16 years, including four years as founder and president.

As he watches his 19 grandchildren grow up, Monty wants to make sure they and other young people have the opportunity to benefit from high-quality CTE provided by EVIT.

His combination of CTE and business background, community service and dedication to the youth of Mesa have served EVIT families and taxpayers well -- and make Monty Hogle the strongest candidate to again represent Subdistrict 6 on the EVIT Governing Board.
